Thank you- State Electric & El Haijj

I have to make this a quick post because I have a lil' woman wanting my attention. We had a wonderful time today at State Electric Supply in Huntington,WV.  El Haijj professionals were on site giving massages, manicures, and  information. The ladies with El Haijj are very sweet, and I had a nice time talking with them. I was selling Team Nick shirts, and didn't get time to get a massage. Mary Beth one of the massage therapist, gave me her card and I am excited to schedule mine!

The ladies from El Haijj donate their time and skills to alot fundraisers. I was listening to them and learned that not only do they work at El Haijj, but are very active in the community. They go to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, etc. to provide their services.

State Electric hosted the event at their corporate headquarters in Huntington, WV. An amazing lady, named Joceln Knapp, who works in Marketing for State Electric contacted me. She knows Nick from work, and felt a calling to help his family. She put this event together and it was great!

Usually these days we see more selfish people than giving, but today...each and everyone came together out of care and love. It was such a warm, family-like atmosphere. Nick's co-workers came and said hello, and participated in the services of El Haijj . Everyone asked about Nick's progress and when they could visit him. Employees told me how they meet in the mornings and pray for Nick and his family.

Nick's accident has meaning and we have embraced that aspect. We have learned alot from Nick because of his accident;

  • You are not guaranteed tomorrow---make sure your heart is right with the Lord

  • There are still caring people in this world

  • Family is extremely important

  • Prayer does work

Rambling....(lol)
Like most people, we get busy...jobs, kids, ect..and we grow distant from our extended families. I remember Nick mostly from our childhood and going to church together..No matter what we are family and I love Nick.  Although, the years have flown by...I know without a doubt, that if I was in his shoes...he would do what he could to help me.

State Electric Fundraiser 12/10/12 11am-2pm

***Nick was brought back to Huntington for surgery today. He came through the surgery well and is recovering. We give God the praise for each victory. ***

Hello Everyone!!

First off, the benefit at the Ironton Elks on December 1st was a huge success. Thank you to all that came and showed support for Nick and his family. The food was tasty, the music good and loud, and the silent auction item were wonderful!!! (love my UK apron!)
I had received a message that the health care bills are now close to 1 million. We have started making a small dent in the amount, but still have lots of work to do. With that being said, I am thrilled about the news that I received from my friend Jocelyn, from State Electric in Huntington, WV. The press release is below, and should be in this Sundays edition of the Herald Dispatch Newspaper

State Electric Supply Co. and El Haijj Salon & Spa

join together to raise money for Team Nick!

IMMEDIATE: Information contact: Jocelyn Knapp (304) 528-0226

State Electric Supply Company & El Haijj Salon & Spa announced they will host a fundraiser for Nick Hall on:

Monday, December 10th from 11:00 – 2:00pm at State Electric Supply Company’s corporate location in Huntington, WV.

The fundraiser will consist of chair massages and manicures with a minimum donation of $10. ALL proceeds will be used to support Team Nick.

Nick Hall was a purchaser for State Electric Supply Company until this past September. Nick wrecked his Harley motorcycle when a deer jumped out in front of him on Rt. 538 in Catlettsburg, KY. Nick suffered a traumatic brain injury and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at a facility in Lexington, KY. The money raised during this event will go towards assisting in medical expenses.

Susan Hage, owner of El Haijj Salon & Spa heard the story about Nick and knew of the close knit family environment of State Electric and she immediately wanted to help. With her business being located just a few blocks down from State Electric Supply Company on 20th Street, she says, "Community members really learn from each other when such a tragedy happens, I just want to help State Electric support a member of their own family."

El Haijj Salon & Spa’s number one seller over the holiday season is gift certificates. "I know people like being pampered and feeling good about themselves, my employees and I wanted to reach out and help State Electric feel good about themselves and hopefully raise some money for Nick", says Hage. Hage doesn’t have a direct relationship with Nick Hall, but felt a strong connection to his family’s faith and hope thru the obstacles they have faced since his accident.

"It is better to give than receive", says Hage, "Tis the season to spread the message of hope. Nick’s story is a message of hope."

If you would like to donate to support Team Nick, or read more about his journey please visit,

Join us in prayer

Please Join Us in Prayer for the family.

We pray for Nick each and every day. Please also keep the
family in your prayers. Although, they wouldn't have it any
other way, this is still hard on them in many ways. Finacial
obligations, gas for the travel, eating while away from their
homes, being away from other family members, etc.

They travel back and forth from their homes to the rehab facility
in Lexington, KY. Several family members must work, but do visit and give support. If not at the bedside, family and friends are working to raise funds to help the family. Benefits, spaghetti dinners, selling T-shirts, collecting donations, etc.

The Hall family members have been very dedicated to Nick. They show love, devotion, and strength. They pray for healing and have faith in the Lord. Although, this is a tragedy, we know
God has a plan for Nick and his family. It has been a  roller coaster of emotions with good and not
so good days. Those of us that are not in Lexington await updates each day, while sending many prayers up.

I am so very proud to call them my family and I ask you to please keep Nick's family in your
prayers.

I cannot ask for prayers, without asking if there are any that are reading this..and haven't given
their life to God. If you are not saved, and want to ask the Lord to come into your life---
I ask you to seek the Lord. If you do not know how to start...I have posted a prayer below.
You can use this sinners prayer to begin your walk with the Lord.

Thank You,
Sherry

WELCOME

HELLO EVERYONE!!!

This blog is dedicated to my cousin, Nick Hall.  Nick Hall was involved in a motorcycle wreck approx 2 months ago. He remained in ICU for quite a long time. He has been diagnosed as having a traumatic brain injury. The neurosurgeon said there would be paralysis on his right side. We are a family of faith. We having been praying and believing that the Lord will  heal Nick. He has made progress, followed by set backs..and the cycle continued that way for awhile. As issues arose, trips from Huntington, WV to Lexington, KY were too familiar. We continue to praise God during the progress, as well as the set backs.

I was told the other day by a man, that Nick's situation has made several of his coworkers draw closer to the Lord!!! That he and his coworkers, pray together before work and lift up Nick's name in prayers. Do to human nature, we sometimes get frustrated and wonder "why." We know that the Lord has an amazing plan for Nick and this situation. We praise the name of God, for the  miracles and we are thankful.
Although our hearts are torn, we will praise you in this storm

Nick's family lives 2 hours from the rehab facility where Nick is staying. The family will be going to and from there frequently. We know that his family needs to be there to encourage him. Therefore, I am asking you to join me in giving a donation to assist his family with gas, food, and lodging if needed. God Bless

YOUR CONTINUED PRAYERS ARE TRULY APPRECIATED!!!

(THANK YOU)
